Standard counselling appointments

Is charged as 60 minutes/1 hour and involves up to 50+ minutes of direct client contact, with at least 10-15 minutes of indirect support including note writing and session planning.

Assessment services 

The number of assessment sessions and report writing hours varies depending on the assessment being conducted and what the individual ends up needing. However, they range from up to 4 x 1 hour sessions (face-to-face) plus up to 7 hours of indirect support/report writing. They may be less or more depending on the specific circumstances and complexity of the case.

Medicare rebates

You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. To receive this rebate, please visit your GP for a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and referral. Some clients may also be eligible for an additional 5 sessions under the former Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans, which are now called GPCCMPs (General Practitioner Care and Coordination Management Plans). These plans allow GPs to refer a patient for up to five additional subsidised allied health sessions per calendar year, without requiring input from multiple specialists. However, this is at the GP's discretion as to whether the patient is eligible.

Clients funded under NDIS must be plan or self managed.
